analyses of digipak (poprock)

Pop/Rock Digipack Analyses

As well as making our own digipak, another task as part of our ancillary task is to analyse some digipaks along the same lines as the genre of the digipak we are making. The genre we are doing is Pop/Rock. The Digipak i am choosing to analyse is Mileys Cyrus 'cant be tamed'
The name of the the artist is written clearly across the centre on the digipak. The colour of this is in gold to catch the readers attention. Also her name is in the biggest writing on the front, this is to show that this is mileys album.
The name of the album is directly under the artists name because once the person has seen the artists name on the digipak they can then see what the album is actually called.
The gold writing against black really makes it stand out to catch the readers attention.
The picture on the digipak is of Miley herself. She is directly in the centre to portray her self as the only singer the sings this and also its showing that she is the centre on attention. Her facial expression is trying to show a seductive look to try and seduce (males or females) into buying the digipak. Also Her cloths are black which helps the writing stand out against her and also her belly and her face.

On the back of the digipak is a picture of her trying to look seductive on a chair this time. Again she is trying to cath the readers eye. The colour scheme, black and gold, is the same on the back as it is on the front to keep the same style through out the digipak so nothing looks out of place.                                                                   Also on the back of her Digipak is a list of song that are on the CD  inside. The idea is that the front cover will cath the readers attention, then they will typically flip it over to read the songs on the back, then will open it to see what is located inside then hopefully will show an interest and buy the digipak.

Inside the digipak is the CD, which also says mileys name and the album name in big bold letters randomly printed across the front of the CD. The colour scheme is also in black and gold, keeping it the same throughout the whole digipak so it look more professional. On the left hand side is a little booklet which will hold more information about miley and her album. The picture on the booklet is mileys face, again pulling the same expression as she has done on the front and back of the digipak. The filter of this photo look like sepia to still keep the colour scheme pattern

  1. A vast improvement on your original digipak analysis.
    - Double check capital letters and spellings.
    - How does this adhere to or defy the conventions of digipaks?
