Analysing music videos

(young, wild and free- Snoop Dogg & Wiz Khalifa)

The genre of this music video is rap. In this video the camera angles are focusing more on the types of dress wear they are wearing like hoodies, shades and snap-back hats. This is portraying the singers as 'chav' like people. Also the camera is showing a lot of drugs, obviously because the song is about drugs and weed, It keeps flashing back to them smoking it or growing it. This is showing that the video is saying drugs is good, but also a lot of rap videos are about drugs, alcohol and sex, So this is relating to those topics.
The way the singer are dancing is more like 'swag'. This is where they are just standing in a spot and moving there hands to the rap and kind of bobbing up and down. Also the video is very slow. This is because the video is about weed and weed is a depressant which numbs the senses in the brain making everything seem double and slow and even hallucinating. The video is also showing everything the guys own like woman and big fancy cars.

(Fuse ODG- Antenna ft Wyclef Jean)

The genre of this music video is rap. The video is faster because the dance in is more street dance and twerking. The dress wear in this has the gold chains, snap backs and shades, this style is also known as 'swag' even the way the people are all dancing. The setting is on a street and its like they are all taking it in turns break dancing or having a dance off. This also has girls in it twerking and break dancing to keep the viewers interested.
Some of the things these videos have in common is that they both have the same style, hates clothes and shades. Also they both have the girls in it to show what they have. that dancing is also similar for the rappers.
